Exercise is not just for the body but also for the mind! Did you know that aerobic exercise increases levels of the neurotransmitters dopamine, seratonin & norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters provide emotional stability, the ability to focus, mental alertness and calmness. Exercise also releases endorphins – the opiate messengers of our emotional system which elevate mood, increase pleausure & minimise pain. Exercise is more than just managing weight – it is about creating optimum wellness!
